we decided to head out to the hunting camp with the kids and some of their cousins. they were so excited that we set ourselves up for a LONG car ride of "are we there", "how much longer", "i ready to be there", "can we get out". lesson learned- surprise them next time! finally after the 2 hr car ride the kids were so excited to get to the camp and to see their cousins and nonna and big jim.
the kids stayed busy the entire time we were there. they rode on the 4- wheeler, shot BB guns at the target, played around with each other. the older boys were so attentive to egan and helping him out. sophie loved having bre pal around with her. the boys were even able to sneak in a little afternoon hunt. even though they didn't see anything i think it was fun for them to just go and spend that time together.
bre and i helped nonna in the kitchen to cook a dinner for everyone when they got back from hunting. bre was such a big help. she helped me set the table for the first time. she put all the napkins and silverware down at their place settings. when...when in the world did she get so big??
after dinner we gave the kids a bath and homeward bound we went. it was a great day for the kids and hopefully one that they can remember!
