HAPPY NEW YEARS!

new years eve was a very laid back day. we made bre's bed into her big girl bed and other than that we just did things around the house preparing for liza.  trey got a few fireworks for the kids (pops) and some for him.  well, bee was the only participant. she loved playing with the pops and watching the fire works.  the noice didn't seem to bother her one bit. on the other hand, egan and wrex did not like the noise so they only lasted a few seconds outside. not even long enough for me to get a picture of them. so bee hung out with her dad and uncle wes while the boys stayed close to their mama's inside :) our night ended about 9ish. poor trey spent midnight alone watching tv while i was snoozing. this pregnant mama is DONE!!

FYI- the pjs that bre has on are from the night before. that is how laid back our day was. she didn't want to get out of them and i wasn't fighting her until bathtime that night.

I'M A BIG GIRL NOW...

so, we finally made the transition. bee is officially a big girl in her big girl bed. with all the things going on around the house we figured that we might as well give her a little change too. we have moved egan's room entirely and changed it (still not finished). we have moved liza to egan's old room and converted his crib back for her (still not finished). and now bee has her big girl bed. she did great sleeping in it! the only downfall...she has an easier access to her nuks (which she is very addicted to). she is only allowed her nuks in bed so throughout the day she would just disappear for 10min...getting some nuk time.



SURGERY DAY FOR EGAN

We are going on round 2 for egan with tubes. He started getting ear infections again after his original tubes that were placed fell out. Hopefully this set will last a little longer and get us through the ear infection years. The dr. said that he did great. Before they roll them into surgery they give the kids some vercet so they will not remember anything. It was the funniest thing ever. The first time he got tubes he just got sleepy from it. Well this time he was laughing and smiling over everything. Of course he was talking about deer. He is a mess...
Trey had to get a video of him and all of his not making sense talk. He was too funny! He wanted to stand up in the hospital bed but couldn't get any higher than a kneel before he would fall over.
We finally got to go home and you would have never known that egan just had surgery. Running around like a wild man and barking orders at his little sister.  He only slept for about an hour in the hospital after he got sick and they made us wait before he could drink again.  After that there was no getting him back down for a nap. On the other hand this mama was tired.  Thank goodness for moms. Cece let me sneak in a nap for myself which was much needed.
Hopefully our surgery days are over!!

O' CHRISTMAS TREE...O'CHRISTMAS TREE...WHAT COLOR ARE YOU?!?

this year the kids decided they wanted a blue tree. so off we went to find a blue tree.  the first tree that we saw when we walked into the tree lot was a perfect blue one! thank goodness! that meant we didn't need to look around. it was a very cold night that night! we were able to take our tree home that night.  the kids voted on eating at "mike's" aka "sake cafe".  so we went and ate dinner and home we went to put our new tree up. i think that it came out very cute with all of our candy themed stuff!

i was very impressed with the kids. they did not touch the tree one time. it was nice having my little light helpers to put the lights on and off for me. the holidays are getting more and more fun now that the kids are getting older!

CHRISTMAS MORNING

this is what the kids got to wake up to on christmas morning. this is bre's pile. she got a new kitchen set with some dishes. she also got some other things to play with. i can tell already that santa did a great job picking this one out!

egan got a bunch off cool things too. the first thing that caught his eye was the big buck standing next to the tree in pj pants!  he also got some games different nerf guns.  his big present was his ipod touch (i know, i know, what will it be next!) i would have never in a million years thought that my 3 year old would be getting that for christmas. but when you have a bunch of older cousins and they have all that kind of stuff, well you just give in!! needless to say he loves it!

this was liza's pile.  bre was the first to notice her pile. she saw it and squealed "yook, santa yeft for phiza"!  looks like he left her a tiger baby just like bre has already!

we packed up and went to cece and pops for an early morning with everyone!

over all the christmas holidays were a bunch of fun. the kids are at a great age and i know that it is only going to get more fun from here! it was long days for the kids but they held in there and did great!

CHRISTMAS EVE

every christmas eve we celebrate with the Palmisanos'. everyone is there and the kids have a blast playing with all of their cousins!

this is what we gave all the kids for christmas along with a cooking class for them to go to. we will have a private cooking lesson with all of our cousins!

 egan got a new play rifle...that was the end of his present opening. he was too excited to open anything else.

when we came home we put out our reindeer food. the kids got the biggest kick out of putting the food out!

SNOW TIME...

on christmas eve the kids went outside to add a little special touch to the yard...SNOW! when we went to our friend maddie's house for her birthday she had snow in the garden. it was the neatest thing. so, ms. cherie gave us some. we had put some in the garden a few weeks prior and this time we put it all in the yard too.

CHRISTMAS PROJECT

the kids and i were busy little bees working on our christmas project. we made little s'more guys. it was lots of fun watching the kids put everything together.  i was very impressed with how good the kids were doing. i didn't even show them a model. they just jumped into it!

we attempted baby Liza's first photo shoot. not only was she not being the most cooperative but so was her big sister.  we had to tape the blocks down because Liza was kicking away and kept knocking them off of my tummy! Bre was just being the little ham that she is and joined in...i think that i may be looking a double maybe even triple trouble in a few weeks!

A BIG MISTAKE...

i have been having some blogging issues. hopefully they will get resolved soon and we will be back to our old selves again! i deleted an old gmail acct that my blog was attached to (which i didn't know) and BAM!! my entire 1 1/2 years of blogging about my kids vanished into thin air just like that! i still get teary eyed when i think about it! i have cried and cried (which has gotten me no where) and my wonderful husband (knowing how computer illiterate that i am) has emailed and contacted every forum and person attached to blogger and google.  so far, no luck on retrieving all of our stuff lost in cyber space somewhere, but hopefully one day it will come back to its rightful owner! the 1st thing on my list when i get it back MAKE A BOOK!!! so this is our new blog because i have been having so much to blog about!! we have the holidays, a new baby on her way in 3 1/2 weeks and just lots of good things going on!

BRE'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

bre had her little christmas program this morning. she didn't do so well. she cried the entire time and the only thing that made her stop crying was those yummy ORANGE cheeseballs that get everywhere!!  which then made all the other kids wants some and not do any of their songs that they learned.  i remember for egan's first christmas program he cried the entire time. now, he juist ham's it up on the stage!! so fingers crossed for next year!

EGAN'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

we had egan's christmas program this morning. it is such a difference from last year when he cried the entire time.  he participated in singing and doing all of the hand motions. he did such a great job! i kind of makes me said because that only means he is getting bigger and i just want to freeze him...

all the room moms had a little reception afterwards for the parents/ grandparents. they even had a santa clause that came to the classrooms and gave the kids a candy. it was a great start to the holidays!

 i was glad the trey and nonna got to stay at the party as long as they did. my energy level is slowly fading and i don't think i had it all in me to run after the kids the entire time.  with being a room mom we had to stay until everyone left so we can begin to clean up.

**great job egan! you are growing up to be such a big boy! i look at you and feel like the first 3 years of your life has flown by so fast. i hope that you can start to remember some of these bigger memories in your life and you can see how proud that you have made your dad and i.  i hope that you don't ever feel slighted being the oldest child and having younger siblings so close in age. i think of that everytime i step back and realize that you are still my baby boy and you already have a little sister with another one on the way. you have taken the task of being a big brother on excellently. i love you so much for helping make the transition of other siblings so easily for us.

CHRISTMAS CARD PHOTO SHOOT

we had our own little photo shoot at home today with the kiddies. they are usually not the most cooperative at taking pictures. so i decided to make it fun for them. what better way than to get in your pj's and jump on the bed! they had a blast! they had a bunch of fun playing around and smiling while i snapped away.  i think that this may be the best way to take pictures. i have tried every form of bribery when we take our real pictures with the photographer. there is always one that is starting trouble. this was a win, win situation for this years cards!
